how i did fall
by mistaking sin for worth
sight cast downwards
sees feet heavily laden
with guilt on earth

i stumble onwards aimlessly
clutching on Truth or is it falsity
but where am i when all is gone
longing eternal or beneath the man nailed on

then i think why
has there always been
such a wide berth
betwixt me and God
